florida

Two words: Schwinn Coronado.... haha 3 hrs on that thing was interesting to say the least. Better then nothing I guess.

The gym is hot as balls too...maybe that would explain my ridiculously high heart rates

sunday

65 miles today out to emmaus and back....note to self: don't try and make a U-turn on gravel. OUCH! Anyway, I was just happy that I didn't get lost like last time and didn't bonk like last time. Averaged 19mph for three hours and threw in another half hour just to hit the 65 mark...just because I'm neurotic. Anyway, hopefully I don't wake up too sore tomorrow.

Back to work tomorrow. I don't know if I prefer sitting around waiting to deliver or actually cruising around.

Going to get in some solid training this week before vacation on friday. I already told mom that I will be going to LA fitness in Florida because I'm not good at relaxing. So at least I'll have that option in the absence of my bike.

I don't post often but training is rarely something eventful so until next time...

it's been a while

So february was my last post. A lot has happened since that I dont feel like going too in depth into but to make a long story short: semester ended, did a few races, LSAT is over with, and now Im training again.

As far as training and racing this summer, its up in the air...I wanted to do some races but red rose races went under so there doesnt seem to be too much going on locally. Training is ok..I was really burned out for a while coming out of the semester but I feel like i pretty much am over that plateau and am 2 weeks into my first build period. Glutamine + VO2 Max + Rhodiola = Clutch

Todays workout consisted of 5 x 7 mins at/around/above threshold in any gear selection with 1 min rests and then about 10 mins of Z4 followed by 5 12 crank sprints (36-37mph)

Tomorrow will either be another build day or a long ride depending how recovered I am. And who knows....maybe I will consistently update this

Cant...feel....anything!

Today was warm as hell....until I took my first pedal stroke outside. About 15 minutes into the ride I accepted the fact that I was just going to have to suck it up and freeze my balls off. And after an hour and a half, my balls were definitely frozen. I couldnt feel my fingers, face, toes or the soles of my feet. Granted I was still able to get a good training ride in. I felt fairly strong on the climbs. 8 days til Rutgers.

The first post

Today was a training day for the roadies and I must say it was pretty interesting. Me and chris rode to wheelworks to meet with coach young with the other captains. Interesting stuff but I was so bored sitting there being that I wanted to just ride. So after that I was told that mens A and B would ride together for a little before TT's and then C and D would do the same. Well eventually we just ended up as one big clusterfuck that eventually split into two groups. We got in a solid 4+ hour day in and I got to take part in my first pace line. It was fairly difficult and I eventually got dropped but I was pretty happy that I held on for as long as I did. We also hit a road that was complete ice, which was interesting to say the least. Road bikes and ice/snow/slush dont mix. Who knows whats up tomorrow.
